As reported, art therapy has made great progress and development in Hong Kong’s education. And we can also see globally, a shift towards the importance of the arts on improving mental well-being. A growing body of evidence suggests that engaging in the visual arts for adults with mental health conditions can reduce depression and anxiety, increase self-respect and encourage re-engagement with the wider world. At CECAT, students have the opportunity to study online, anywhere in the world. This includes Zoom meetings with our Director and Senior Lecturer, psychologist Robert Gray. Scroll down for more information on the course offerings.
If you can travel to Australia, we strongly suggest completing your courses through our on-campus intensives instead of Zoom meetings. For instance, if you visit Perth, you can even finish all three intensives in one go. Click the button below:

Online Introductory Course
$99 AUD
The Introduction Course gives you a first taste of the benefits of art therapy. If you’re a practicing therapist, it will give you a few ideas for your clients, too.
Registration & Enrolment
Registration and enrolment at CECAT take place through our virtual learning platform. Register for the Online Introductory Intensive.
Online Certificate Course
$3,600 AUD
Students typically complete the 10 modules of the online Certificate Course in 6-12 months of part-time study. For online studies, we suggest adding 10 Zoom meetings to your online studies.
Once students have graduated, they are eligible to enrol in the Diploma Course.

Online Diploma Course
$1,800 AUD
The Online Diploma Course includes a further 5 modules completed typically in 3-6 months of additional part-time study. For online studies, we suggest adding 5 Zoom meetings to your online studies.
You must complete the Certificate Course before purchasing any Diploma level courses.
